I am an established artist who has always been keen to extend my practise, while at the same time having a strong commitment to working with non-artists. I have worked with a broad range of community groups, including learning disabled adults and adult education groups, as well as initiating and supporting initiatives in my home town of Tring. Often my role has been to identify an opportunity and then to build a partnership to support its realisation.
A strong theme in my CV has been that of working with children and young people. I have been a tutor at the annual ‘Artscool!’ run by the University of Hertfordshire. This is open to 8-19 year olds of all abilities who have an interest in art. The organisers have been very keen to integrate children and young people who might not normally be part of such an event, including Looked After Children, those from low income families and those with a range of disabilities.
In April 2012 I am also contributing to an exciting worldwide Twitter Art exhibition on behalf of a Woman Crisis Centre in Norway.
In 2004 I established my own studio in Tring, and I endeavour to pursue opportunities to develop and exhibit my work.
