I am an artist who makes sculptural work from an eclectic mix of materials. I draw inspiration from a wide range of sources but architecture and costume are my strongest influences.

My intention is to create work which resonates on a deeply emotive level and which acts as a vehicle to reconnect with a “place” or memory deep in our subconscious. Frillip Moolog is the name that I have given to such a place.

It has been said that my sculptures are vessels which hold and suggest many ideas simultaneously and that it is quite possible to believe that they have an unseen life of their own.

I am interested in performance and it has been observed that my work has strong theatrical qualities. Having recently made a short film during a Forkbeard Fantasy summer school I see more possibilities of using film to enhance the viewers experience and understanding of Frillip Moolog.

My most recent exhibition was a two person show, 'Blink UnBlink', which was part of theLiverpool Biennial. I also have a large solo show programmed for 6 weeks in the summer of 2012 at Quay Arts, Isle of Wight.

I plan to use the AA2A time at Coventry University to improve my metal working skills in particular. I need to make larger works for the Isle of Wight show and constructing using welding, and forging will enable me to do this more effectively. If time allows I would also like to make some use of the film editing equipment within the university.
