About me:
I moved North 8 years ago from London. In the last three years I've aquired the equipment and materials for a ceramic studio and revisited projects I started ten years back to develop them to a professional standard.
I'm interested in both decorative and conceptual work and am using terracotta clays and slips at the moment.
I have three lines in production:- Traditional Slipware ornaments for hanging ; Ware decorated with Chinese papercuts; slip painted house martins and swallows on plaques and sculptures.
At the College I am able to fire porcelain and stoneware, as well as experiment with glaze making. This supports a long term project to explore representations of throwaway cartons using historic pottery styles and materials.
