About me:
I'm currently working for Leeds University as an External relations Assistant where I maintain the schools websites and ensure that the students work placements are administrated.
I studied at Leeds Metropolitan university where I did a degree in Art and Design, I explored alot with experiemental film and text. After graduating from university I found that I was drawing a lot and became interested in print making, I did one collagraph print and was hooked!
In my work I use themes around isolation, separation and Imagination and how this connects to the landscape around us physically and emotionally.
I like to use printmaking techniques in my work which is a combination of line-drawings, watercolours and sketches.
By having access to the college facilities, I would be able to develop my knowledge of different print making techniques and use this to work on shading, tone and textural elements of my work.
This opportunity will give me the chance to develop my work and ideas further through print by having access to the college facilities and library. The AA2A scheme will enable me to develop my work so it is up to exhibition standard which is cohesive and technically accurate.
