About me:
I am a visual artist, writer, film-maker, and performer interested in non-consensual reality, outsidership, empathy, authenticity and absurdity.
Themes in my practice are shedding skins and labels to see the heart behind things; challenging the concept and value of normality; making ordinary life extraordinary; flight; finding light in dark places, and insisting dreams have more substance and essence than average reality.
I have been labeled ‘mad’ by society. My work aims to show I make perfect sense.
As I have not done one before, I would like to understand the experience and process of a residency, and to increase my confidence in my art, which is at the early stages. I have not yet entirely found myself as an artist, I would like the opportunity to explore my path. I would like explore the experience of psychosis digitially. Can an isolating, alientating experience be know collaboratively?
