I am a figurative sculptor. In 2010, as a mature student, I gained a 1st class Honours in 3D Design & Craft at Colchester Institute and then went on to do my PGCE. I have lectured portraiture sculpture at The Art Academy in London and currently lecture at Colchester Institute. I have work published in Modelling & Sculpting the Figure (2012) by Russell, T.
I create figurative works that are aesthetically engaging with social, romantic and realistic qualities. My narrative questions cultural and consumer identity and explores influencing factors, including how social and political history changes expected ideologies.
‘A Portrait of Chelmsford’ is in the Chelmsford museum collection.
In 2009 I sculpted on the 4th Plinth in Trafalgar Square as part of Anthony Gormley's 'One & Other.
My work is regularly exhibited at The Sculpt Gallery, with pieces in private as well as public collections.
