Money is a promise. 

The currencies we use hold no fixed basis in gold or any other valuable material.  In economic terms money is not wealth, but a token that represents a claim on wealth.  This system of exchange works because we believe in it.  Despite facing crisis, the euro is still a desirable destination.  Asylum seekers will continue to adopt any means possible to reach the dream of safety.

After drawing these vessels the bank note is re-introduced into circulation.
