I went for my first official induction into the Glass and Ceramics department (Derby Uni) last Friday and was pleasantly surprised at just how welcome I was made to feel.  I knew everyone would be nice but I didn't realise I would be offered a cup of coffee and digestive biscuits - and the chocolate coated ones at that!  

But seriously, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to my time at the University and it has really given me a positive start to my project.  I can’t wait to get back to my work space to soak up the creative environment a bit more.
