I don't know if it is because it's coming up to Christmas or what but everything seems to be coming at once... I have had eight days to complete a series of paintings and round up the paintings which have gone out on temporary exhibition in order to put a show on at the Turnpike Gallery in Leigh. I am one painting down because I put it in the Open Exhibition at the same venue! I am presently waiting for work drying..hence me having time to sit and write this... 

I am glad to have the emergency rush, I was getting in a rut with day to day family stuff, teaching classes is not really for me and a few hours teaching takes another few hours prep every week... pah! Just give me a brush and a put me in front of a canvas and I'm a happy man. I lost sight of that since finishing the MA..

Note to self.. don't do it again! 

Being back in the print making rooms at UCLAN is sort of like coming home, after all I spent 7 whole years of my life on campus and although I was not based in print, I spent a lot of time there. It’s good to be able to relax and spend time working on stuff without the distractions of home life and  working in a small studio with people falling over each other to do their own stuff. I am looking forward to being able to simply stop and think…
