I spent the last year at Artlab at UCLan working along with the AA2A folks and now I'm one of them!  This is a very exciting time for me, having the opportunity to spend a year exploring my ideas and translating them into prints.

My project will be "Mapping the UK - Seeing the UK through US eyes".  I think that our perception of the world stems from our sense of self and where we began our lives.  I bring my US experiences to the UK.   

I am amazed by the layers of living left by the eons of people existing on this island.  I am creating a series of large and small prints layering and abstracting the landscape.  The "maps" will not be literal maps but my impressions of what I see and how I react to different areas of the UK.
