Here goes... a 5 point guide to replacing your webpage 'grey head'
First find an image (preferably a JPG) you want to use then Sign in with your username and password (username is the last bit of the web address for your page and is usually based on your first name. You can also get a new password sent to your email if you've forgotten it)
1. Click on 'MY PROFILE' (to the right of Twitter, Facebook logos)
2. Click on 'EDIT PROFILE' (to the right of your name)
3. Click on 'EDIT PROFILE ICON' (on the left in blue)
4. Click on 'CHOOSE FILE', find your file/image in the menu & click 'Choose'
5. Click 'UPLOAD'
The rest is optional (eg. dragging a square across the image to make the small icon how you want it)
GOOD LUCK and thankyou for uploading Dotbiz!

Welcome to AA2A and to our networking site 'Dotbiz'.
As a few of you are already uploading images (thanks for that) we thought we'd include a few notes on uploading and editing albums. Do let us know if you ever get stuck. We're here to help.
Create an image album
1. Select ‘Create new album’ from side menu:
2. ‘Add image album’, enter a Title, Description, etc. (You can also edit ‘access’ – to control who can see the album).
3. ‘Save’ and you’ve now created the folder that the images will go in.
4. Add images to album, ‘browse’ and select the images you want (must be under 1mb and a .jpg .png .gif) select the image/s ‘upload’ and when you’ve finished - ‘Save’
5. Edit image properties - add individual title, caption, tags - Also you need to select one of your images as the image album cover, finally ‘save’
To make changes to an existing album
1. Go to 'Your image albums'
2. click on the album
3. You can then choose to ‘add images to album’, ‘edit album’ (where you can change 'access' to 'Public', 'Private', 'Logged in Users') or ‘delete album’

Hi All
Georgia has been so busy this week, I thought I'd do the weekly blog for a change.
It's been a really busy few months. We set up AA2A as an organisation in its own right in September to try and secure the future of the project, so we're now a 'Not for Profit Social Enterprise' called AA2A Ltd (previously our funding has been routed through various host organisations). We've had our hands full doing all the stuff that goes along with being a responsible new organisation eg. a new business plan, applications to Esmee Fairbairn Foundation (they said No!) and the Arts Council (awaiting a decision), and we are currently working on a potential sponsorship deal with a major store. It's hard work! Its great to have a browse of this site every few days to remind myself why we're spending so much time trying to get the funding sorted out.... the work you're producing and the blogs you write really are my inspiration.
There's not much time left of this year's schemes now, so do make best use of the next few weeks and keep in touch with us as we have plans to have a more active membership scheme for ex-AA2A artists. All for now. Wendy

Hi AA2A folk
Thank you for putting your images and mugshots up. I appreciate your comittment to this aspect of the AA2A project. You may have noticed there are a few shortcomings with the way the site works, (such as images coming up in the reverse order). This happens because we adapted free 'open source' social networking software rather than pay four times the price for a purpose built one. We really do try to save all our funds for creating more AA2A schemes!
Don't forget that Georgia has written some useful help blogs about uploading which include troubleshooting tips. But do let us know if you're struggling as we can usually help and are currently developing help screens which we hope will be a bit clearer than explaining the process in text.
If you don't have any experience of uploading to websites or don't have your own computer you can ask your College's AA2A Administrator to help. They have your details from your application form, which should allow them to upload your page for you.
All for now and I really hope you enjoy your AA2A experience

I just wanted to say "Hello and Welcome" to our first few active members of 'dotbiz'. It really helps encourage others to use the site when there's already something there. So a big "Thank you" to the trailblazers!
Georgia (from AA2A) will be blogging soon to give you regular information about dotbiz and AA2A.
All for now

Although I have really come to the end of the AA2A I have kindly been allowed to continue to work in the print department for a little longer. Throughout the scheme I have rigorously pushed and combined a variety of print processes and am delighted that this has not only extended my knowledge and confidence but also dramatically changed the image content of my work. I have really enjoyed the ability to layer and use colour alongside photographic elements and although it is a little against my nature the more controlled aspects of etching have really helped me to focus my ideas. To this end I am now working on my final piece which I am hoping to show in the MA exhibition in September. This consists of a series of reductive prints which are intended to be viewed as a set. The overall effect is simple and stark, and represents the culmination of the scheme for me. At the outset I wanted to produce a show piece and finally I seem to have cracked it, with image, process and materials coming together as intended. Now I have the remaining weeks to etch and print the series. I am a little apprehensive as these works need to be crisp and professional but am looking forward to my first real edition.
I can not thank AA2A enough for the opportunity I have been given this year. To have reached this point has been a long journey but one that has been well worth it.

I have finally spent a bit of time in the print workshop just long enough to start to figure out where things live and feel at home. I have a stock of aluminium sheets that I have started to work as basic drypoints. So I thought I would share my first attempt ! Rubbish photo taken on my phone but its good to share isnt it
